Jerusalem

This photo was taken in Jerusalem on Ben Yehudi Menamin street by anesskina. She had it printed on a postcard for the professionaly printed RR.

Yeah, I won the lottery

The card shows Corona del Mar and was my win from swan's "Moving back to California"-lottery. We had to guess when she would move back and I won with my husband's birthday.

Aussie map

"The overlaying maps demonstrate the enormous size of the Australian continent." Card for the Austria to Australia/New Zealand tag, sent by ticker.

This card was sent by yeh shu-i and shows typical food. Shui describes the food on the card and I especially loved what she wrote about one of them: "Stinky Tofu is popular here too but most foreigners can't accept its smell." I don't know what makes the tofu so stinky, and I am not sure I want to find out ;-)

Stamp swap

This card arrived as part of a swap from Matty. It shows Lazise at Lago di Garda.

Canadian recipe

This recipe card travelled 6 days and shows a popular local recipe. The sender wrote that her mother-in-law had a look over this recipe to make sure it was correct!

Sunday Stamps #55

I am back from my holidays and back to Sunday stamps!

This week's task: "Chinese New Year began on Monday January 23, so let's celebrate with Chinese stamps, Dragon stamps, or red stamps"

This stamp arrived just in time this week from Canada. Austrian post never celebrates Chinese new year, in fact they have never even celebrated our new year with a stamp.

Back from vacation!

I am back from my honeymoon! Guess where I have been ;-)

I also sent cards from the Maldives of course, but I guess I'll have to wait some more weeks for them to arrive. The Swiss woman working in the guest service in our hotel told me that it usually takes two months from Switzerland to this island, so heaven knows how long it will take from the island to Europe...
