Wedding again

This card came with a Lithuanian wedding tradition: On the day of the wedding, the groom comes to the bride's house. The groom has to recognize his bride, but he is just allowed to touch her hand or see a foot. All the bridesmaides try to fool the groom. Hopefully he chooses the right hand/foot and can take his bride to the church for the ceremony!

I am not posting this stamp because I think it is so beautiful. No, I wanted to post a Norwegian stamp - just to show my support and to say, Norway, I am thinking of you and I just can't believe that such a tragedy can happen in such a peaceful and open minded country.

What a journey!

This card has an interesting story to tell: caja send this card for the favorite tag. She sent it in an envelope with her address on the back of it. At the postoffice someone was confused and put a stamp next to the return address and send it back to caja... she sent me the card again, without a return address this time - and the card made it to my mailbox :) I'd love to hear what the card could tell about its journey!

I am posting this card because I have just read that a postcrossing friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer this morning. The card was sent as an official postcrossing card from Australia and the sender wrote that a friend of her had fought breast cancer successfully. So I take this as a good sign and I will send good thoughts to my postcrossing friend. Keep a positive attitude and keep fighting. There is not much I can do personally, but I think spreading awareness is a good start!

This was actually the first congratulatory card on my upcoming wedding (see ticker on the right). The card was sent by my maid of honor from her vacation in the Ausseerland region in Upper Styria [If you click on location below this post, you will be redirected to google maps and you can see where Bad Aussee is located]. As you can guess from the card this region is still very old fashioned and traditional.

Hello Postcrossing-World!

I was away for some time, but only due to a very happy reason: I am getting married - wohooooo!
